Accountant / Operations Manager
Pynergy Petroleum Company is seeking a detail-oriented Accountant / Operations Manager to handle both financial management and day-to-day operational oversight. This role is critical to our business, where accuracy in accounting, efficiency in processes, and practical problem-solving are critical to success. The role combines hands-on bookkeeping and reporting with operational support to keep the business running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance
- Manage daily bookkeeping including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, and cash flow reports.
- Ensure compliance with tax filings, accounting standards, and company policies.
- Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures where possible.
- Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and financial institutions.
Operations
- Oversee administrative functions and ensure smooth office operations.
- Manage vendor and supplier relationships, including contract review and negotiations.
- Support inventory control, purchasing, and logistics (if applicable to the business).
- Assist in workforce scheduling, onboarding, and general HR support.
- Implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce operational risks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in accounting and/or business operations.
- Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting software. NetSuite experience is a plus.
- Practical understanding of operational workflows in a small business environment.
- Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and wear multiple hats in a fast-paced setting.
