My client, a large construction industry leader is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their growing team. Responsibilities:
• Review Job Costing to ensure GAAP compliance.
• Compare actual performance with anticipated results, making necessary financial amendments as required.
• Compile audit paperwork when needed.
• Examine periodic job cost reports, spot check cost activities, create budgets and semi-annual forecasts, and discern variances.
• Communicate with project managers to troubleshoot issues and enhance decision-making process.
• Manage and direct the operations of the accounting team, serving as a mentor to develop their abilities and foster professional progression.
• Work alongside project management to gather estimates and distribute prompt monitoring reports to project managers and other corporate leaders.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP, firm policies, and contractual obligations.
• Oversee a reliable internal control system.
• Must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in an accounting role
• Experience in Month End Close
• Audit or construction accounting experience
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is , but not required.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel
