Fort Myers Countertop Fabrication Company seeking an experienced Account Manager / Estimator. This position will be an integral part of the company’s team reporting to the C.E.O. of the company. A strong knowledge of the kitchen and bath countertop market is critical in assisting customers and driving sales.
This position will be responsible for the management of a number of Contractor Accounts, Walk In Customers as well as the ability to provide accurate layout of project countertops required for each specific project utilizing computerized software. This position must also prepare accurate estimates for each specific project often involving multi-unit countertop projects. This role requires a detail-oriented and self-motivated individual who is committed to delivering outstanding service to both customers and internal team members. Answering incoming phone calls and the ability to assist with problem resolution with customers. The Estimator plays a critical role in supporting the sales process and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of project proposals.
Key responsibilities: Review and finalize countertop sales with customers and sales team. Prepare precise estimates for countertop projects. Collaborate with customers, contractors and internal teams to clarify project requirements and specifications. Interpret drawings and project documents to develop accurate material takeoffs using design software. Provide exceptional customer service and maintain positive working relationships with clients and internal staff. Ensure estimates are completed within project timelines.
Qualifications: Strong knowledge of kitchen cabinetry and countertop materials, design and installation. Proven experience in estimating or related roles within the construction, remodeling or cabinetry / countertop industry. Proficiency with design or estimating software. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proven math skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.
Education/Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience. Minimum of 2 years’ experience in estimating from drawings or layouts. High School Diploma or equivalent.
This position is full-time, Monday through Friday. Competitive compensation commensurate with experience.
