Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Account Executive to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving new business by selling our Zendesk service delivery implementation services to prospective clients. This role requires a strong understanding of SaaS software solutions, excellent sales acumen, and the ability to articulate the value of professional services in optimizing customer (CX) and employee experience (EX) platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, qualify, and close new business opportunities for Zendesk implementation services.
- Develop and maintain a robust sales pipeline through proactive outreach, networking, and lead .
- Work alongside Zendesk Partner teams, including Account Managers and Channel Representatives, to deliver impactful presentations and demonstrations to prospective clients, highlighting how the Zendesk solution and our services can solve their unique business challenges.
- Work directly with the VP of Sales, VP of Strategic Alliances, and VP of Cloud & Service to develop tailored solutions and proposals.
- Collaborate with the internal marketing, resource management, and technical teams.
- Negotiate contracts and terms, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations.
- Stay up-to-date with Zendesk platform updates, industry trends, and competitive offerings including asset management platforms such as Oomnitza.
- Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and revenue goals.
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and client interactions within the CRM platform Salesforce.
Requirements
- 1 - 3 years of lead and cold calling sales experience is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven track record of success in B2B software or services sales, with a focus on cloud platforms is a plus.
- Previous experience using sales prospecting tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo.
- Understanding of the customer experience platforms such as Zendesk, ServiceNow, or Freshdesk and their various functionalities is highly .
- Experience selling professional services, particularly implementation, integration, or consulting services, is a significant plus.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
- Ability to travel overnight as needed.
Location:
- Zirous provides a hybrid work model, offering both work from home (remote) days each Monday & Friday, as well as on-site days at the West Des Moines, IA office each Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday. However, due to the nature of this sales position your daily work location may vary based on client prospecting activities and partner events. Local candidates within the Des Moines, IA metro will be given priority.
