\n CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for an Access Control / Intercom Engineer to join a leading FM service provider, working across seven high-end residential buildings, primarily based around Canary Wharf.\n
\n
\n This role is ideal for an experienced engineer with a strong background in access control, door entry, and intercom systems, carrying out both planned preventative and reactive maintenance across a prestigious residential portfolio. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £52,000 PAYE or £220 per day CIS, along with overtime, further technical training, and excellent long-term career prospects.\n

Hours of Work:\n
\n

\n
• Monday to Thursday – 07:30 to 17:00

\n

• Friday – 07:30 to 16:00

\n

• 1 in 3 call-out rota (after probation)

\n

Key Duties & Responsibilities:\n
\n

\n
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on access control, intercom, and door entry systems.

\n

• Diagnosing faults and completing reactive repairs across a portfolio of luxury residential buildings.

\n

• Servicing and maintaining audio and video intercom systems, access control systems, magnetic locks, electric strikes, proximity/fob access, automatic door releases, and gate entry systems.

\n

• Installing, replacing, programming, and commissioning access control and intercom equipment.

\n

• Responding to reactive call-outs and resolving faults efficiently.

\n

• Liaising with , site teams, and property managers while providing excellent customer service.

\n

• Completing service reports and recommending remedial works where required.

\n

• Ensuring all work is completed in accordance with current health & safety legislation and industry standards.

• Salary up to £52,000 PAYE or £180–£220 per day CIS

• £160 per month travel allowance

\n

Requirements:\n
\n

\n
• Proven experience maintaining and fault-finding on access control, intercom, and door entry systems.

\n

• Experience with systems such as Paxton, Videx, Comelit, BPT, Hikvision, TDSi, Gallagher, Honeywell, Salto, or similar.

\n

• Strong understanding of electronic security systems.

\n

• ECS or CSCS Card ().

\n

• IPAF or PASMA (advantageous).

\n

• Full UK Driving Licence ().

\n

• Excellent fault-finding, communication, and customer-facing skills.

\n

• Ability to provide relevant qualifications and references.

\n
