\n Exciting opportunity to work for an established FM service provider situated in London. CBW are currently recruiting for an Access Control / Intercom Engineer to work across seven high-end residential buildings, primarily around the Canary Wharf area.\n
\n
\n The successful candidate will have proven experience servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing access control, door entry and intercom systems within residential or commercial properties. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of up to £52,000, overtime opportunities, and further technical training and development.\n

Package & Working Hours\n

  • £50,000 – £52,000 (depending on experience)
  • \n

  • £180 – £220 per day CIS (depending on experience)
  • \n

  • Overtime available
  • \n

  • Working hours: 7.30am – 5.00pm Monday to Thursday & 7.30am – 4.00pm Friday
  • \n

  • £160 per month travel allowance

Key Responsibilities\n

    \n
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) on access control, door entry and intercom systems.
  • \n

  • Diagnosing faults and completing remedial works across a portfolio of high-end residential buildings.
  • \n

  • Servicing and maintaining a wide range of systems including:\n
      \n
    • Audio and video intercom systems
    • \n

    • Access control systems
    • \n

    • Door entry systems
    • \n

    • Magnetic locks and electric strikes
    • \n

    • Proximity, fob and card access systems
    • \n

    • Automatic door release systems
    • \n

    • Gate entry systems (where applicable)
    • \n

  • \n

  • Installing and replacing access control and intercom equipment as required.
  • \n

  • Programming and commissioning new or replacement devices.
  • \n

  • Attending reactive call-outs and resolving system faults efficiently.
  • \n

  • Liaising with , site teams and property managers to ensure excellent customer service.
  • \n

  • Completing service reports and providing recommendations following maintenance visits.
  • \n

  • Ensuring all work is completed in line with current industry standards and health & safety regulations.
  • \n

Requirements\n

    \n
  • Proven experience working on access control, door entry and intercom systems.
  • \n

  • Experience carrying out PPMs, servicing, repairs and fault-finding.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of systems from manufacturers such as Paxton, Videx, BPT, Comelit, Hikvision, TDSi, Gallagher, Honeywell, Salto or similar.
  • \n

  • Strong understanding of electronic security systems and associated hardware.
  • \n

  • ECS Card or CSCS Card ().
  • \n

  • IPAF or PASMA (advantageous but not essential).
  • \n

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • \n

  • Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
  • \n

  • Ability to provide references and relevant industry qualifications.
  • \n
