Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineer to join our growing service and maintenance team. You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repair of an our growing service and maintenance team. wide range of air conditioning and refrigeration systems across commercial, industrial, and occasionally domestic sites in Sheffield and nearby areas.\n\nThis is a field-based role ideal for an engineer who enjoys working independently, solving problems on-site, and maintaining a high standard of customer service.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Carry out installation, servicing, and maintenance of air conditioning and refrigeration systems, including split systems, VRV/VRF, chillers, and cold rooms.\n\n * \n\n Diagnose faults, perform repairs, and ensure systems operate efficiently and safely.\n\n * \n\n Conduct planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits according to company schedules.\n\n * \n\n Respond to emergency breakdowns in a timely and professional manner.\n\n * \n\n Ensure all work complies with F-Gas regulations and health & safety standards.\n\n * \n\n Complete job sheets, service reports, and required documentation accurately.\n\n * \n\n Liaise with clients and office staff to ensure smooth job completion and customer satisfaction.\n\n * \n\n Occasionally assist with project planning, quotations, or technical support.\n\nRequirements\n\nEssential:\n\n * \n\n Recognised qualification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (e.g., NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds).\n\n * \n\n Current F-Gas Category 1 certification (2079).\n\n * \n\n Proven experience in installation, maintenance, and fault-finding on a variety of A/C and refrigeration systems.\n\n * \n\n Full UK driving licence.\n\n * \n\n Good communication and customer service skills.\n\n * \n\n Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.\n\nDesirable:\n\n * \n\n Experience with manufacturers such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, Toshiba, LG, etc.\n\n * \n\n Electrical knowledge (17th/18th Edition advantageous).\n\n * \n\n PASMA, IPAF, or CSCS certifications.\n\n * \n\n Previous experience working across commercial and industrial sites (e.g., retail, offices, healthcare, or manufacturing)
