Job Summary: The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in a manufacturing warehouse environment. This role ensures the efficient operation of machinery and electrical systems to minimize downtime and maximize productivity while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of production machinery and facility equipment.
· Conduct emergency/unscheduled repairs during production and perform scheduled maintenance as needed.
· Execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic repairs on production machines.
· Perform machinist duties, including diagnosing problems, replacing or repairing parts, testing, and making adjustments.
· Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to carry out required maintenance tasks.
· Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
· Address plumbing and carpentry needs within the facility.
· Utilize hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment to complete tasks.
· Detect and report faulty operations, defective materials, or unusual situations to supervisors.
· Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean, orderly work area.
Qualifications:
· 3+ years of experience in electronic/electrical maintenance within an industrial setting. preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
· Strong technical skills, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
· Strong knowledge of industrial electronics, PLC programming, VFDs, and automation systems.
· Ability to diagnose, repair, and install electrical and control systems in a manufacturing environment.
· Ability to read and interpret manuals, schematics, and work orders.
· Experience with preventative maintenance practices.
· Familiarity with plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance tasks.
· Proficiency with a variety of hand and power tools, as well as testing equipment.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the workday.
· Capability to lift and move items over 75 pounds frequently.
· Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
Work Environment: This position is highly active and based in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Compensation: Competitive hourly wage or salary, depending on experience. Benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
