Hours are: 3:30pm - 2:00am Monday through Thursday
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
· Dismantles, relocates, moves, welds, repairs and installs shafts, gears, pulleys, clutches, hoists, conveyors and
· other facility or production equipment or power presses.
· Use shop equipment such as Lathe, mulling, and shop hand tools.
· Able to troubleshoot.
· Evaluate problems, disassemble and reassemble mechanical equipment.
Maintains Equipment and Machinery
• Replaces worn or broken parts.
• Adjusts machine parts required to overhaul or rebuilds the equipment according to drawings or specifications.
Fabricates Equipment
• Builds, assembles and installs equipment using facility layout, blueprints, sketches, and drawings.
Electrical
• Works with maintenance electrician or contractor to complete dismantling or installation projects.
Assists members of the maintenance team with Repairs and Projects.
• Serves as Team member to solve problems and participates in team efforts required to maintain and upgrade all
shop equipment and facilities utilizing troubleshooting and repair techniques.
Performs a variety of plant maintenance duties involving work outside of the mechanical field.
• May perform heavy plant maintenance using scaffolds, man-lifts and safety harnesses involving the use of
specialized safety equipment such as SCBA, respirator, dust mask and other personal protective clothing and
equipment.
Participates in Continuous Improvement Activities.
• Identifies and suggests improvements to improve work and processes and departmental methods and procedures.
Requirements:
Requirements
HS diploma or GED equivalent .Confined Space Training. Respiratory Training. Lock Out Tag Out Training. Hazwhopper Training.Blood Borne Pathogens Training.
Technical Experience: Minimum of 3 years experience in maintenance or related field or equivalent .
Industry Experience: Working knowledge of stamping equipment and machinery. Deep draw stamping experience . Development of preventive maintenance systems
Technical Competencies – specifically related to this position
Comprehension Skills: Ability to comprehend and interpret documents such as work instructions, safety procedures, material cards, process sheets, and operating procedures. Blueprint Skills: High level of ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, complex and detailed technical written instructions and follow special verbal instructions. Forklift Skills: Ability to operate forklift truck. Mechanical Aptitude: Working knowledge and understanding of electrical, pneumatics, and hydraulic functioning of equipment. Ability to use knowledge for machine and equipment troubleshooting and repair, as well as safety improvements. Tools: Good understanding of tools, their capabilities, and use in both the maintenance and design of equipment. Ergonomics: Demonstrated knowledge of setting up equipment and machinery for comfort, safety, efficiency, productivity and ease of use. Fact Based Problem Solving: Understands and practices the process of fact-based problem solving and the tools associated with that process. Initiative: Self-motivated; ability to work with other team members. Ability to work without direct supervisions. Physical Requirements: Ability to meet the physical requirements of the job. Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
