Classic is a commercial printing company specializing in high-end print, luxury packaging, refined finishing, and complex production workflows. We are seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Bindery Operator with proven machine setup capabilities to support our bindery and finishing operations.

Position Overview
The 2nd Shift Bindery Operator is responsible for independently setting up and operating bindery equipment to produce high-quality finished products. This position requires hands-on experience with cutter, folder, and stitcher setup, the ability to work with minimal supervision, and a strong understanding of commercial printing bindery processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up, adjust, and operate bindery equipment to meet job specifications.
• Independently perform machine setups on cutters, folders, and stitchers to meet job requirements and production standards.
• Read and interpret job tickets, layouts, and production specifications.
• Inspect work throughout production to ensure quality standards are met.
• Troubleshoot machine and process issues and make necessary adjustments.
• Maintain production schedules and meet deadlines during second shift operations.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment clean and in good working order.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Communicate production issues, quality concerns, or delays to bindery leadership.
• Experience with foil stamping, die cutting, and gluing is a plus.

Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a bindery operator in a commercial printing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to independently set up cutters, folders, and stitchers.
• Strong working knowledge of bindery equipment and finishing processes.
• Ability to read and understand job tickets and production specifications.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work 2nd shift consistently.

Experience

• Experience with high-end finishing, specialty print, or packaging work.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience working with tight tolerances and premium substrates.
