1st Shift Senior Fabricator
Job DescriptionJob DescriptionUnited Talent Staffing is currently hiring a Senior Fabricator in the Powder Springs, GA area!Job Duties:• Fabricate and follow technical instructions, interpret engineering blueprints and technical terms.
• Work alongside a team of fabricators, and occasionally assigning tasks and providing guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure that millwork components meet quality standards.
• Monitor and maintain inventory of materials and supplies needed for the assembly process.
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during fabrication, such as material defects or design discrepancies.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Test finished products for defects.
• Maintain the tools used to create products.
• Train and mentor junior fabricators to ensure that they develop the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed in their roles.
• Other duties as assigned.Pay and Shift:
- 1st -shift, Monday-Thursday. 6:30am to 5pm
- Pay: $20-$28 an hour (based on experience).
Requirements:• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years of direct experience in millwork fabrication
• Extensive knowledge of millwork fabrication techniques and materials, including solid wood, veneer, laminates, and plastics.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and technical drawings.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members to achieve their goals.• Good manual dexterity and attention to detail to ensure that fabricated products are of high quality and meet customer specifications.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in using woodworking tools and equipment, such as saws, routers, sanders, and lathes.
• Understanding of math and measurements
