Job Description

1st Shift Monday-Friday: 7am-3:30pm

$3,000 sign on bonus

Eligible for quarterly bonuses

Hourly position eligible for overtime

Pay varies based on experience

Job Summary:

Executes, analyses, and reports on mechanical tests to ensure product quality and performance. Responsibilities include setting up and running tests on equipment, collecting and analyzing data, modifying test setups, maintaining equipment, and collaborating with engineers to resolve issues. Key skills involve strong technical aptitude, hands-on experience with mechanical and hydraulic machinery, data analysis, and communication.

Essential Functions:

Illustrative duties may include, but are not restricted to, one or more of the following:

  • Execute Tests: Conduct various tests on materials, components, and complete mechanical systems using specialized equipment.


  • Develop Test Fixtures: Design, build, and modify fixtures to automate testing and ensure proper function of test setups.


  • Data Collection & Analysis: Collect, record, and analyze test data, identifying trends and deviations from specifications.


  • Troubleshooting & Problem Solving: Work with engineers to diagnose issues, develop resolutions, and improve test procedures and product designs.


  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate test equipment, ensuring its accuracy and readiness for use.


  • Documentation: Document test procedures, results, reports, and any issues encountered, communicating findings to the engineering team.



  • Other duties as assigned.



Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Associate degree in engineering from an accredited institution in mechanical, electrical, or test engineering. Experience in a test lab environment.


  • Technical Aptitude: A strong understanding of mechanical principles, test procedures, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics.


  • Hands-On Experience: Experience operating and setting up mechanical and hydraulic machinery and lab equipment.


  • Data Analysis: Proficiency in collecting, analyzing, and reporting on test data.


  • Software Skills: Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, and potentially specialized software for data collection and automation. AutoCad, Inventor or Solid works


  • Communication & Collaboration: Ability to clearly communicate technical information to engineers and other team members.


  • Problem-Solving: Excellent problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues during testing


  • Environment: Office and lab settings. Working closely, in a collaborative manner, with engineers to ensure products meet requirements.
