Job Description The Global Tire Testing department within our Tire Research & Development at the Hanover-Stöcken site tests, evaluates and supports the approval process for tire development. To this end, we develop, set up and further develop our own tire test bench systems for our worldwide test locations. In this exciting environment, we offer a working student position in the field of data engineering and software development starting from September 2024. Ideally, this position should be filled for the next 12 months with a working time of 20 hours per week. Responsibilities in this position include: Support in the analysis, specification and optimization of existing IT processes Recording and structuring of relevant data streams in the departments Development and implementation of database models with regard to data science applications Qualifications Enrolled student (m/f/diverse) in the fields of (business-) informatics, mechanical engineering, data engineering or similar field Experience in programming with Java and Python Experience in modeling of databases (Postgres, Clickhouse, Redshift) Optional experience in Git, Docker, Kubernetes Fluent command of written and spoken German and good English skills Strong communication skills and good analytical and conceptual abilities, with a high level of understanding Additional Information Attractive remuneration Flexible working hours in the flexitime model A hybrid work environment – remote or on-site depending on team organization and tasks Qualified support from our specialists Health-oriented workplace Ready to drive with Continental?
