Wireman – Grid Substation Projects\n\nJob Title: Wireman / Panel Wireman – Grid DNO Substations \n\nLocation: Midlands & South West (West Midlands, Nottingham, Derby, Birmingham, Stoke, Bristol corridor) \n\nContract Type: Contractor (12 months initial) – Immediate starts \n\nAbout the Role We are looking for experienced Wiremen to support critical substation reinforcement and upgrade works on the Grid Distribution framework. You will be working on live substation environments, focusing on control and relay panel works.\n\nKey Requirements:\n\nOps 1B / Ops 2B authorisation (highly ). \nCandidates with alternative valid authorisations (e.g. BESC, Grid Person) will be considered and can work under supervision.\nStrong proven experience in substation panel wiring – specifically stripping, rebuilding, and wiring of relay panels and control panels.\nLVAC / electrical background with actual substation experience (general electricians without substation panel experience will not be suitable).\nRelevant plant tickets advantageous.Ideal Candidate: You must have hands-on experience in operational DNO substations rather than just battery storage or greenfield projects.
