About the Role:
A leading national energy operator is seeking an experienced Wells Engineer to support drilling and well operations in Equatorial Guinea. This strategic role involves well design, planning, execution oversight, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams, providing an excellent opportunity to make a lasting impact in a dynamic upstream environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and plan drilling, completion, and well intervention programs.

Conduct technical risk assessments and ensure strict compliance with HSE and regulatory standards.

Collaborate with geoscience, drilling, and production teams to deliver cost-effective, high-performance well solutions.

Prepare time and cost estimates, and contribute technical input to tenders.

Monitor operations, offering remote and on-site rig support as needed.

Lead post-well evaluations and drive continuous operational improvements.

Mentor and support the development of junior and local engineering staff.
Qualifications & Experience:

Degree in Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.

Minimum of 10 years’ experience in well engineering (offshore/onshore), ideally with an operator.

Proficiency in well planning tools (e.g., Landmark, WellPlan, or equivalent).

Strong knowledge of international drilling standards and best practices.

Fluency in English required; Spanish language skills beneficial.

Willingness to relocate to Equatorial Guinea.
