POSITION SUMMARY:
The Water/Wastewater (W/WW) team at our client epitomizes dynamism and innovation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manages project(s) in accordance with scope, schedule, and budget.
- Collaborates with disciplines and subconsultants to develop a risk-adverse project scope and .
- Develops project-specific project plans, Project Management Plans/Quality Management Plans.
- Creates and maintains project schedules.
- Manages subconsultants.
- Monitors and executes project progress, including identifying and mitigating risks, developing extra work order requests, and open-end contract task proposals.
- Communicates project status, updates, and issues to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participates in office’s project financial status meetings.
- Builds relationships with client(s) to understand preferences and requirements to set up and execute a quality project.
- Prepares progress reports and reviews invoices.
- Develops and leads in project status and presentations.
- Assists Section Heads, Office Leaders, and Practice Leaders with the marketing process including SMART Go/No Go decisions, proposal development, and interviews.
- Coordinates and guides all technical resources within the project team to ensure delivery of a high-quality outcome.
- Provides coaching and mentoring to the project team through one-on-one check-in meetings and various project debriefs to acknowledge achievements, identify areas for improvement, and share lessons learned.
- Leads and manages team members by providing leadership and continuous performance management (setting expectations, goals, feedback, 1:1 meeting, coaching) that supports the growth and development of the team.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil, mechanical, environmental, or chemical engineering or a related field from an ABET accredited engineering program.
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE).
- 10+ years of experience.
- Experience delivering water and wastewater projects from design through construction phase engineering services.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Strong Communication Skills.
- Strong Presentation Skills.
- Works well in a team environment.
EXPERIENCE:
- CAPM or PMP certification.
- Experience working with local clients at the county and state level.
- Experience with multiple project delivery methods (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, P3).
- Experience managing multidiscipline project teams.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Work is performed within a general office environment 95% of the time.
- Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking.
- Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
- Field work is required on occasion where work may be conducted outside in heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
- Some lifting (up to 25 lbs) may be required as needed.
