Underwriting operations
Job Description
Operations Coordinator reporting to the AVP of Underwriting Operations, to support London ‘Companies Market’ and European ‘Companies Market’.
The Operations team supports business processing, liaising with other functions to ensure efficiency & effectiveness across a broad array of activities from policy specific transaction support to change management and on-boarding.
You will deal with:
Transaction Processing:
· Month end close reconciliation and reporting
· Quarter End reporting
· Support process documentation and training
· Support of the process that the Underwriting Assistants (UAs) engage in (month-end close; data quality management; process efficiency), including review of the monthly processing stats
Compliance:
· Incorporation of evolving regulatory requirements into the ‘BAU’ process and reports
· Support for specific report generation
On-boarding:
· Support the addition of new Business Units, Lines of Business, Products, or new joiners,
Underwriting Services:
· Support for Business Requirements provision to IT
· Provision of remote or on-site training support for core UW Tools for Business Units across London & Europe
Producing and editing Training Documentation:
· User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on behalf of Business Units when deploying new technologies
· Tracking technology maintenance requests and statuses
Data Analytics:
· Data Quality standards support
· PowerBI suite of reports assistance for development and ongoing support
You will need a min of 2 years either in an underwriting admin, underwriting operations or underwriting processing role, or have worked as an underwriting assistant possibly within a central team.
You must be able to prioritize and organize a very demanding workload
Have strong written and oral communication skills
Have good computer skills including the core MS Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Have initiative, work well under pressure and with others, and be committed to meeting deadlines, in a fast paced and dynamic environment
