Role summary

As a Naval Technical Manager, you will act as the client representative in the subcontractor office, focusing on the FEED phase project. Your main responsibilities will be to:

• Oversee Hull Structural, Ship Stability, Mooring Design, and Marine Equipment topics.

• Ensure compliance with industry codes, standards, and design guides.

• Plan, detail, and review technical documentation related to the project.

• Interface with project teams, engineering teams, and supply chain management.

• Manage design analysis and undertake, and check others’, analysis, design, and engineering activities.

• Ensure progress and compliance of the supplier in close interface with SCM function.

• Follow-up on design activities, fabrications, and testing.

• Ensure work is performed in accordance with the latest HSEQ and Group procedures.

• Provide engineering assistance during mobilizations and occasional periods of offshore or site working, including FATs, SITs, Pre-commissioning, etc.

• Participate as required in events such as Bid Clarifications, Kick-off meetings, HIRAs, Design Reviews, etc.

• Attend to project audits and engineering reviews as and when required.

• Provide technical engineering support to other departments within the Engineering Group, the Project Engineering Group, and to colleagues in terms of training and mentoring.

• Ensure that know-how is transferred within the discipline & attend to discipline meetings as required.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of experience in naval technical management with a focus on FPSO, FSRU, or similar projects.

• Proficiency in Hull Structural, Ship Stability, Mooring Design, and Marine Equipment.

• Fluent English

• Experience in working in a multi-disciplined system engineering team

• Ability to prioritize own workload, manage time accordingly, and inform team members where constraints will affect a project in terms of program or budget.

• Demonstrable ability to work within time/budget constraints

• Ability in Vendor and 3rd Party interface

• Ability in working in a multicultural group

Conditions

• The majority of the work is carried out in the subcontractor office in Galati, Romania, with possible missions to Jakarta, Indonesia.

• Availability to stay in Romania for 14 months.

• Working hours according to local regulation and Company’s policy
