TEAM SUPPORT (Project Manager – Mid; General Planner – Mid)

We are looking for highly organized and adaptable Team Support professionals to assist project managers and team leads with operational execution. Team Support staff play a critical role in maintaining structure and accountability across claims processing teams by providing logistical, documentation, and administrative support. This role requires proactive coordination skills, strong task tracking abilities, and comfort working in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.

ABOUT THE PROJECT:
This project supports FEMA's Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Claims Office, which was established to administer compensation for individuals and businesses impacted by the Hermit’s Peak and Calf Canyon Fires in New Mexico. The program ensures claims are reviewed accurately, fairly, and in compliance with federal law. Positions on this project support technical reviews, legal coordination, field inspections, and administrative processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate daily team operations and assist in managing task assignments

  • Monitor project timelines, action items, and deliverables to ensure alignment with FEMA program expectations

  • Maintain updated project records, SOPs, dashboards, and communication logs

  • Help draft status updates, review summaries, and internal/external correspondence

  • Facilitate scheduling of meetings, team check-ins, and briefings

  • Support QA efforts and escalate issues that affect team workflow or deliverables

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in planning, public administration, business, or a related field

  • 4+ years of experience supporting planning, operations, or project delivery in a federal, disaster recovery, or large program environment

  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams), SharePoint, and task tracking platforms

  • Excellent communication, time management, and documentation skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively across remote teams and adapt to urgent needs
