Job Description

The Supply Chain Supply Planner for Raw Materials is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement and availability of raw materials to support production schedules. This role involves demand forecasting, inventory optimization and close collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and maintain raw material supply plans based on demand forecasts, production schedules and inventory targets.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing and logistics teams to ensure material availability and minimize disruptions.
• Monitor inventory levels and adjust planning parameters to optimize stock levels and reduce excess/obsolete inventory.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and resolve supply issues.
• Support new product introductions and engineering changes by aligning material availability with project timelines.
• Utilize ERP and planning systems to maintain accurate material requirements planning (MRP) data.
  
  

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelors Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in supply planning, preferably in raw materials or manufacturing environments.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MRP systems and planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis or similar).
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• APICS/CPIM certification is a plus.
