Position Overview: As a Procurement Associate, you will play a crucial role in supporting our supply chain operations, with a focus on procurement activities. You will be responsible for data entry, basic procurement tasks, and assisting with various standard purchasing activities. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic team and gain valuable experience in the fastener distribution industry.

Responsibilities:

• Review data and create accurate purchase orders in a timely manner.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on time delivery.
• Monitor inventory levels and reorder points to maintain proper stocking levels.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, and logistics partners.
• Maintain accurate supplier information, pricing, and lead times in system.
• Contribute and support the development and implementation of procurement strategies.

Qualifications:

• Excellent data entry skills.
• Self-starter with an outgoing personality, positive attitude, and strong attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient in using computer systems and software, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to changing business needs.
• Office/procurement experience a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Office Environment
• Sitting 80% of time and standing/movement 20% of the time
• Occasional travel to other branch locations and suppliers

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm
