Genesis Technical needs a Marine Structural Engineer. This will be contract positions to help support onsite work in Marinette, WI. Not sure the exact length of weeks on/off, but they would work onsite for several weeks at a time and then get to “go home” in between

Marine Structural Engineer
Marinette, WI

Responsibilities
•Primary Responsibilities- Solve structural engineering problems on complex ship design projects
•Develop technical specifications, analysis reports, calculations, briefings, status reports and test procedures
•Perform technical analyses using US Navy specifications, Design Data Sheets, Technical Manuals, and commercial rules
•Interact with government and industry personnel
•Provide technical guidance to less experienced engineers. Technical Lead on small projects
•Perform quality assurance reviews of products including calculations, models, drawings and reports

Qualifications
•Candidate Requirements: U.S. Citizenship is Required with an Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain one.BS Degree or higher in Engineering.10+ years of Structural Engineering experience on US Navy Ships and/or commercial maritime vessels
•Experience should include but is not limited to: developing technical specifications, analysis reports, calculations, briefings, status reports and test procedures
•Proficient with industry software including AutoCAD and Finite Element Software
•Strong analytical skills
•Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
•Excellent MS Office skills, including Word, PowerPoint and Excel
•Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly, both verbally and in written format
