We are seeking a Senior Structural Engineer with deep expertise in structural analysis and design for commercial nuclear projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and verify structural engineering deliverables including calculations, drawings, and specifications in accordance with nuclear QA standards.
- Develop and review structural designs for pipe supports, equipment mounting, rigging evaluations, and baseplate anchorage.
- Apply knowledge of ASME B31.1 to support basic pipe support analysis as needed.
- Conduct site walkdowns to validate field conditions and gather structural data for plant modifications.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient designs under regulatory frameworks.
- Support quality assurance processes and maintain rigorous documentation in alignment with 10CFR50 Appendix B.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required; EIT or PE .
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience, with active and recent participation in commercial nuclear design projects.
- Proficiency with MathCAD Prime and GTSTRUDL is required.
- Strong knowledge of AISC ASD, ACI codes, and nuclear-specific codes and standards.
- Familiarity with pipe support design, baseplate anchorage, and equipment support systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate design decisions and technical contributions.
