GreenLife Energy Solutions is hiring an experienced Solar Project Manager to lead and oversee commercial solar projects from early development through commissioning. This role supports our PPA-based business model, requiring a project manager who understands how to move commercial solar systems from concept to construction while coordinating engineering, permitting, procurement, field operations, and battery-storage integration.
We are looking for someone who can manage technical requirements, maintain schedule and budget control, and act as the primary point of coordination between internal teams, subcontractors, utilities, and customers. The ideal candidate brings proven experience delivering commercial solar projects, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to keep multiple stakeholders aligned throughout the entire project lifecycle. This position is on-site and field-focused in South Jersey and plays a key role in supporting GreenLifes expanding solar division.
Responsibilities
Manage all phases of commercial solar development, from initial evaluation to commissioning
Coordinate permitting, engineering, interconnection, procurement, scheduling, and construction
Oversee field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project timelines and quality standards
Review and interpret electrical/solar plans, utility requirements, and site assessments
Support project budgeting, documentation, planning, and closeout
Ensure compliance with safety requirements, state/utility regulations, and internal standards
Interface with utilities, inspectors, customers, and internal leadership
Prepare progress updates, schedules, punch lists, and turnover documentation
Requirements
Minimum 57 years of commercial solar project management experience
Strong understanding of solar development, electrical systems, and battery storage
Experience with permitting, interconnection, AHJ coordination, and utility processes
Ability to manage multiple large projects simultaneously
Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Valid drivers license (company vehicle provided)
Ability to work on-site across South Jersey daily
