Solar Design Engineer - £40,000 DOE – Blackburn/ Glasgow/ London – Hybrid Available

As the need for clean energy becomes ever pressing in a climate conscious world, the global solar power market has seen exponential growth over the last few years and shows no signs of slowing. I’m currently working with a lead company in carbon savings and solar energy generation whose growth has exceeded 25% year on year. From its birth, my client has been implementing agile and future-proof renewable energy designs using cutting-edge technology.

Due to its huge plans for growth, my client is searching for an ambitious individual who values internal progression and development within a collaborative culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading design from the initial business case through to construction of Solar PV systems.
• Perform system sizing calculations to a high level of accuracy.
• Ability to communicate clearly and liaise with a variety of stakeholders.
• Commission surveys and reports when necessary.
• Review electrical designs to ensure accuracy.

Key Requirements:

• Proficient knowledge of designing solar PV plants.
• Understanding of the design requirements for construction and procurement purposes.
• Competence with AutoCAD, PVsyst and PVsol.
