About the Role



We are seeking an experienced and motivated Site Manager to lead construction projects from start to finish, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency at every stage. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that values professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Experience of working on both residential and commercial contracts would be an advantage.



As Site Manager, you will be responsible for leading site operations, managing subcontractors, and maintaining strong relationships with clients and consultants. You’ll set the standard for safety and quality, while driving progress and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.



Key Responsibilities



Leadership & Management

Promote company vision, values, and a culture of continuous improvement

Motivate and manage the construction team to maintain progress



*



Lead by example, ensuring exceptional standards of safety, quality, and customer service



*



Hold regular meetings with site teams and contractors to review safety, progress, programme, and quality



Financial Control



*



Confirm verbal instructions promptly and accurately



*



Chair weekly subcontractor foreman meetings to ensure clear communication



*



Record varied work and collaborate with QS to recover project resources



*



Monitor labour, plant, and materials to minimise waste



*



Manage subcontractor variations and plant hire/off-hire processes



Operational Excellence



*



Build strong working relationships with customers, consultants, and supply chain partners



*



Review construction information for accuracy and resolve discrepancies



*



Track and update project programmes using ASTA, producing short-term schedules as required



*



Oversee materials procurement and subcontractor attendance



*



Implement and maintain quality inspection plans, ensuring compliance with specifications and regulations



*



Maintain daily site diaries and manage project documentation



Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality & Sustainability (SHEQS)



*



Ensure subcontractors meet company safety and environmental standards



*



Review and guide method statements and risk assessments



*



Conduct weekly site safety inspections and deliver toolbox talks



*



Address safety or environmental incidents promptly and effectively



*



Act as Temporary Works Supervisor (TWS)



Qualifications & Experience



*



ONC/HNC equivalent or trade background with progression into site management



*



Degree or MCIOB membership desirable but not essential



*



Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Site Manager or 5 years as an Assistant Site Manager with a leading construction company



*



Broad understanding of traditional construction methods



*



Detailed knowledge of site engineering or building finishes



*



Commitment to ongoing professional development
