Job Description
Site Manager – Commercial Projects\n\nLocation: Cambridge\n Salary: £60-£65k + Benefits \n Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent\n\nAbout the Role\n\nWe are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the successful delivery of commercial building projects from groundworks to completion. You will take ownership of day-to-day site operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.\n\nYou’ll work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and the client team, leading site activities and ensuring all works comply with company procedures and statutory regulations.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\nManage and coordinate all on-site construction activities.\n\nOversee subcontractors, trades, and labour to ensure efficient workflow.\n\nMaintain strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards.\n\nMonitor project progress and report on timelines, costs, and quality.\n\nChair and record site meetings, producing regular progress reports.\n\nLiaise with clients, architects, engineers, and consultants.\n\nEnsure materials, plant, and equipment are used efficiently and stored securely.\n\nDrive a positive site culture built on safety, teamwork, and accountability.\n\nRequirements\n\nProven experience as a Site Manager on commercial builds (e.g., offices, retail, education, industrial).\n\nStrong knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, and building regulations.\n\nExcellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.\n\nSMSTS, CSCS (Black Card), and First Aid certification required.\n\nFull UK driving licence.\n\nDesirable\n\nNVQ Level 6 or Degree in Construction Management (or equivalent).\n\nExperience with Design & Build contracts and managing multiple subcontractors.\n\nTo be considered for this role please apply with your CV or for further information contact Jenny Saban in our Cambridge office
