We are currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer, Electronics to join our client’s growing Tactical Systems Department. This role supports the development of cutting-edge, ruggedized military hardware for air, land, and sea. The department focuses on tightly integrated, compact sensing and computing technologies to deliver mission-critical information at the edge. These products have been deployed and proven across all seven continents in the harshest environments on the planet.
In this role, you will play an active, hands-on part in the development of new systems, hardware, and software designs for use in DoD environments. You’ll take ownership of electrical requirements analysis activities at both the CCA and system levels, including requirements , allocation, and tracking throughout the development lifecycle. You’ll also contribute to organization-wide efforts across electrical, mechanical, and software disciplines.
Responsibilities:

Coordinate and lead system development efforts aligned with customer requirements and company goals.

Provide technical leadership for system architecture definitions based on functional requirements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define interfaces, performance parameters, and integration points.

Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and automated scripts to validate functionality and performance.

Support system verification, validation, and qualification in both lab and field environments.

Interface with customers, technical managers, and cross-disciplinary teams to resolve technical issues while balancing cost, schedule, and technical integrity.

Create system design documentation, user manuals, and test reports.

Ensure compliance with applicable defense and software engineering standards (e.g., MIL-STD-498, DO-178C).

Mentor junior Systems Engineers and contribute to knowledge-sharing efforts.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
-
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.
-
5–8 years of experience in electrical design and/or systems engineering.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and abstract thinking skills.

Ability to work independently and integrate complex hardware/software systems.
-
Hands-on experience with systems engineering across the product life cycle.

Experience with MIL-STD qualification testing (704, 810, 461, 464).
Qualifications:
-
M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Experience with hardware validation, troubleshooting, and qualification testing.

Familiarity with MOSA, SOSA, and/or GCIA standards.

Experience with MIL-STD-1553, CAN bus, and other specialized interface protocols.

Knowledge of SAE ARP4761, MIL-STD-882E, DO-178B/C, DO-254, AOP-52, and related standards.

Strong communication skills and ability to adapt to fast-moving environments.

Experience with DOORS is a plus.

Compensation:
$120,000 – $165,000
Compensation will vary based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
