Senior RF Test Engineer

A leading global Engineering business, based in the Durham area, are expanding their engineering team. The company specialise in the developing innovative, first , highly complex engineering solutions for industries including aerospace, defence, communications and more.



With ongoing investment in skilled personnel, cutting-edge innovation, and high-quality manufacturing capabilities, the organisation is currently seeking a skilled Senior RF Test Engineer to join their dynamic and expanding technical team.



The two key features that will make a successful Senior RF Test Engineer:



* Core, hands on, practical RF Test duties. Calibrate tools, deliver verified solutions, perform data analysis etc. and effectively hit the ground running practically.



* Bring and apply software devs knowledge. The business use LabVIEW and TestStand but the software can be learned / transferred from Python, Labview etc.



Responsibilities include



*



Develop and maintain a clear understanding of all test equipment and processes



*



Full responsibility for the development/improvement of new/existing solutions with all aspects of DC to mmWave test



*



Provide high-level technical support to improve and maintain test capability (analyse, diagnose, and resolve technical issues as required)



*



Plan, organise, and manage own time



*



Report project progress and risks to project teams and team leaders



*



Perform data analysis and produce both internal and customer-facing reports and presentations.



Requirements



*



Relevant STEM Engineering Degree



*



Sufficient number of years and practical hands-on experience completing the role of and RF Test Engineer



*



Exp within a volume electronics manufacturing environment will be highly advantageous. However applications from academia are equally encouraged.



*



Strong hands-on measurement and diagnostic skills using electronic and RF test equipment.



*



LabVIEW and TestStand development experience is advantageous, but transferable package knowledge is suitable



*



UK Security clearance is required for this position.
