We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team and play a vital role in our mission to build a world where all infrastructure is sustainably constructed and maintained. Based in Leiston, East Anglia (IP16), this role offers the chance to work on a major infrastructure project with a diverse scope of works. The scheme involves groundworks, civils, drainage, pavements, and building construction, incorporating structural concrete, steel elements, ductile iron pipework and racking systems.

Here are just some of the activities you will be involved in… Providing commercial leadership across the contract to ensure profitability is maximised and risks are mitigated Line managing a team of commercial professionals, ensuring effective delivery and professional development Building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders through negotiation and collaboration Supporting budget development and cost control to achieve financial and project objectives Leading weekly and monthly cost-value reconciliation to support accurate reporting and informed decision-making Managing cash flow through efficient income capture and minimising work-in-progress exposure Identifying and managing contract variations in accordance with contractual obligations Procuring and administering subcontracts, ensuring they are let on appropriate terms in line with company procedures and project risks We would love to hear from you if… You have a positive, can-do attitude and a collaborative mindset, who thrives in a team environment and is committed to delivering excellence. You will have significant commercial experience within a contractor setting, with a strong track record of motivating others and achieving shared goals.
Your background will include the management of a variety of contracts and complex contractual arrangements, supported by solid technical construction knowledge. You should bring highly developed commercial awareness and demonstrable experience operating at Senior Quantity Surveyor level. Strong communication skills both verbal and written—are essential, as is your ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, from colleagues to clients.
We’re also looking for someone with a resourceful approach, capable of working under pressure without compromising on attention to detail. Ideally, you will have experience working under ECC NEC3 Option B, with a working knowledge of CESMM4, and be confident managing subcontract procurement and contract administration in line with industry best practices.
