Senior Quantity Surveyor
Our client, a prominent name in the civil engineering sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a year-long infrastructure and highways scheme Suffolk (Ipswich main office). This position is designed for someone with significant experience in the field, looking for a permanent role with a reputable company.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects
Conducting cost analysis, monitoring project expenditure, and mitigating risks
Liaising with clients, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project delivery
Preparing and analysing costing for tenders
Overseeing the financial progress of projects and preparing monthly reports
Handling procurement strategies and managing sub-contract orders
Ensuring compliance with contract conditions and company procedures
Providing advice on contractual claims and disputes
Job Requirements:
Extensive experience in quantity surveying, preferably with a focus on infrastructure and highways
Strong understanding of NEC3 contracts and their application
Excellent analytical and numerical skills
Proficiency in cost estimating and budgeting techniques
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Relevant degree or professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field
