Job Purpose
Perform Quality Surveillance (QS) and Inspections of Maintenance, Operation and Supplier-provided items and services, on-site and at suppliers’ locations, for the Barakah Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP), in support of the BNPP's Quality Assurance Program, to ensure that BNPP is constructed and operated with the highest standards of safety and quality in nuclear industry.\
Key Activities, Responsibility & Accountability
Inspections and Surveillance (for Quality Surveillance positions)
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Review Inspection and Test Plans for acceptability and to identify Hold/Witness/Review points for Inspection activities.
• Conduct and document inspection as per the identified Hold/Witness/Review points to verify quality.
• Conduct and document unscheduled and planned surveillances to assess performance and requirement compliance.
• Initiate Corrective Action documents for identified deficiencies during inspection and surveillance, to ensure follow-up and resolution.
• Analyze identified corrective actions and actions to prevent recurrence for acceptability and verify implementation
Receipt Inspection (for QS Receipt Inspection positions)
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Perform inspections of purchased Material and Components to ensure that items received meet quality, technical and regulatory requirements.
• Review Quality Verification Documents (QVD) to confirm the QVDs supplied with the purchased items are complete and meet the purchase and applicable Code requirements.
• Initiate nonconformance reports to document identified deficiencies of either the item or QVD.
• Verify nonconformance resolution to disposition and re-inspection, as may be required, to ensure standards are met
Quality Control Inspection
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Plan and schedule Quality Control inspection activities for Operation and Maintenance to verify and ensure quality.
• Review QC inspection and test plans for acceptability and to identify Hold/Witness/Review points for Inspection activities.
• Conduct and document inspection as per the identified Hold/Witness/Review points to verify quality, as and when required.
• Initiate Corrective Action documents for identified deficiencies during inspection and surveillance, to ensure follow-up and resolution.
Coordinating Third Party QC Inspection
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Coordinate, plan and schedule Quality Control inspection performed by QC service provider in support of the Quality Assurance Program, to ensure that BNPP is constructed and operated with the highest standards of safety and quality in nuclear industry.
• Identify QC inspection requirements by adding Hold/ Witness/ Review points to verify quality.
• Review corrective actions initiated by contracted QC staff documents for identified deficiencies during inspection and surveillance and monitor resolution.
• Review accepted corrective action plan and corrective actions completed by QC contract service provider to ensure their closure in alignment with ENEC Operations standards.
Responsibilities & Accountabilities (contd.)
QA Assessments & Trend Reports
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Develop and issue Monthly/ Quarterly/ Yearly Trend reports on identified deficiencies relating to Operations and Maintenance QC inspection activities to enable decision-making and mitigate identified issues.
• Prepare for and perform quality assessments of the contractor’s operations and maintenance activities at BNPP to monitor and report on performance.
Supplier Source Inspections
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Perform inspections of supplier locations before and during purchased-component fabrication to verify approved QA Program and Purchase Order requirement implementation and compliance.
Supplier Qualification Assessments
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Participate in supplier qualification assessments led by QA Audit to support potential additions to the ENEC Operation’s Qualified Vendor List.
Process Improvement
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
• Review QS documentation and procedures to provide feedback, as appropriate, to ensure compliance with industry codes, standards and regulatory requirements as well as continuous improvement opportunities.
Professional Certifications
• Previous/current ANSI- Level Ill Inspector Certification (either Mechanical, Electrical lock, Nuclear, Receiving)
• Various certification (previous / current) levels of NDE-process inspection.
• Project Management certification.
• Previous/current American Standards Institute (ANSI) Level II Inspector certification
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline.
Experience
Min - 5 years of relevant experience, out of which:
3 years of satisfactory performance in inspection or testing activities.

• 10 years of experience at an operating nuclear plant, NDE Inspection, Supplier component fabrication Oversight, Program/Project management.
• Project Management experience
• Supervisory / Staff Management experience
• Multi-cultural experience
• Experience in an International QA standard.
