Job Description
Job Title – Senior Project Manager – Construction Administration (MEP Focus)
Location – Phoenix, AZ (Remote + Weekly Local Travel)
The Position
Our Client is a highly respected engineering firm specializing in mission-critical environments is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Construction Administration with a strong MEP design background. This is a unique opportunity for a technical leader to oversee complex construction efforts on high-profile projects while transitioning from design to hands-on construction management.
The role is remote with regular weekly travel to local project sites in the Phoenix area.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership (50%)
- Manage construction administration from design completion through closeout
- Lead submittal and RFI reviews with internal design support
- Conduct site visits, track deficiencies, and issue field reports
- Oversee implementation of redlines, bulletins, and ASIs
- Coordinate between trades, design, and construction teams
- Represent the firm at client meetings and OAC sessions
- Participate in design reviews to improve constructability
Stakeholder Engagement (20%)
- Serve as primary client point of contact during construction
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Lead marketing efforts and support business development
Administrative Oversight (20%)
- Track meeting minutes, site visit reports, and punch lists
- Manage contract administration and documentation
- Support department reporting and file management
Financial Management (10%)
- Support cost tracking, forecasting, and billing coordination
- Identify and address risks, scope gaps, and budget deviations
Candidate Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in construction or engineering project management
- 3+ years of field or onsite experience
- B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Structural Engineering or Construction Management
- Strong understanding of MEP/FA/FP systems and construction methodologies
- Proficient in Procore and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams)
- Familiarity with safety standards and the MOP process
- Experience producing documentation and coordinating across remote/hybrid teams
- AutoCAD/Revit proficiency a plus

- Weekly local travel to Phoenix-area project sites (approx. 1–2 days per week)
