Senior Project Manager – Civil Engineering



We are seeking a driven and experienced Senior Project Manager to take ownership of complex civil engineering projects from planning through to successful completion. This is a leadership role, requiring strong technical expertise, contractual awareness, and team management capabilities.



You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality and safety standards.



Key Responsibilities:



Lead, manage, train, and mentor the on-site team to maximise performance and collaboration.



Review and interpret contract agreements; identify risks, inconsistencies, and ensure alignment with project goals.



Develop and manage project programmes and budget forecasts; track progress and take corrective action as needed.



Liaise with clients, suppliers, contracts managers, and commercial teams to ensure seamless project execution.



Maintain oversight of subcontractor performance, resource allocation, and skills requirements in line with the programme.



Ensure compliance with inspection and test plans, method statements, and health & safety requirements.



Maintain accurate records of site resources, especially regarding variations and additional works.



Champion quality, safety, and environmental best practices on site.



What We’re Looking For:



Essential:



Degree or HND in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)



Strong knowledge of construction contract law and forms of contract



Extensive experience in managing civil engineering projects from inception to completion



Deep understanding of engineering principles and modern construction techniques



Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills



CSCS Card (relevant category)



Formal training in Health & Safety and Environmental Management
