Senior Project Manager

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Project Manager to join our growing team in Fresno. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing utility or infrastructure projects from start to finish, including scheduling, budgeting, stakeholder management, and risk mitigation. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can execute projects within scope, on time, and within budget. This role progresses into an executive level position with for this region within the next 3-5 years.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee all phases of utility construction projects from initiation to completion
• Develop detailed project plans including schedules, work plans, resources, and budgets
• Monitor project performance and proactively manage risks, delays, or changes
• Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, crews, and other stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, contract requirements, and company procedures
• Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate documentation throughout the project lifecycle
• Lead and mentor project teams, ensuring accountability and high performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in utility or heavy civil construction
• Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Proficiency in project management tools and software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Procore, etc.)
• PMP Certification or similar credential is a plus

Experience

• Familiarity with underground utilities, transmission/distribution, or infrastructure projects
• Experience working in California and knowledge of local regulatory environments
