Acting as an extension of their recruitment teams, we connect them with skilled interim and temporary professionals, fostering workplaces where everyone can contribute and succeed.\n\nOn behalf of our globally respected client who develop cutting-edge technologies that deliver clean, safe and competitive solutions to meet the planet's vital power needs we are looking for a Senior Project Engineer - Manufacturing for a 12 month contract based in Derby.\n\nThis role is a hybrid position in which you will be based in our client Derby facility Tues-Thurs each week and working from home Monday and Friday.\n\nSome occasional travel within the UK and Europe to support test activities will be required.\n\nPurpose of the role:\n\nLead the end-to-end delivery of multiple bespoke test rig projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes that meet customer requirements\nAct as the key interface between customers, engineering teams, and suppliers to translate technical needs into structured delivery plans\nCoordinate complex, multi-stakeholder activities to deliver certification-ready test solutions within defined timelines and standards \n\nWhat you'll do:\n\nManage test rig projects from concept through to certification\nEngage with customers to define requirements and agree delivery plans\nWork closely with design engineers to develop testing solutions\nCoordinate test setup, including software, hardware, and location\nManage suppliers and supply chain for externally built rigs and components\nApply structured delivery processes and track progress using planning tools\nAnalyse and communicate project data and updates to stakeholders\nDeliver final test results and certification documentation \n\nThe skills you'll need:\n\nExperience in project engineering or project management within an engineering environment\nStrong mechanical engineering understanding\nProven ability to manage multiple projects end-to-end\nExcellent stakeholder and supplier management skills\nExperience using planning tools (e.g.
