This represents exciting new challenges for our Process & Facilities Engineers working on sustainable emission reduction projects such as electrification, CCUS, Hydrogen as well as minimising the impact of existing plants, equipment and traditional technologies through efficiency optimisation.

Our process engineers are also helping to drive digital solutions and plan modification for our global clients to achieve a sustainable path to net zero.

We are seeking highly motivated, talented and client-focused process engineers with first-hand, practical knowledge to join our team in the planning and execution of low-carbon energy development projects.

The role

The role demands a dynamic and enthusiastic Senior Process Consultant experienced in the project management of multi-discipline teams across all delivery stages (concept through to detailed design), who also possesses an active interest in assisting clients and the wider energy industry through the transition to Net Zero.

In response, they can expect to support and manage assignments across much of the energy spectrum, working with a range of teams all across Xodus, including members from our subsea, decommissioning, renewables, environmental, and advisory divisions.

The successful candidate will be capable of guiding multidiscipline teams, experienced in using engineering knowledge and judgement, to find and implement first class proactive solutions for our clients. They should have demonstrable experience of leading both process and multidiscipline projects, in accordance with widely recognised industry standards, techniques and technologies.

The optimal candidate will be both a leader and team player, capable of producing well-written and technically accurate study reports, as well as communicating Engineering concepts in a straightforward manner to other engineers, project managers, superiors, and clients, thereby demonstrating the ability to summarize key parameters and drivers succinctly for all audiences. The ideal candidate will support the Xodus process team and clients as a technical process lead.

In tandem, they should be enthusiastic about contributing to the learning of others, demonstrating a willingness to coach, support less experienced engineers, particularly in regard to IChemE chartership attainment and continuous professional development.

The candidate will be required to engage and communicate with clients regularly, maintain Xodus’ standards and visions, and support Xodus’ business development requirements. They should also display a flexible approach, being adaptable to varying assignments at short notice, as well as in multi-tasking to ensure delivery of concurrent assignments, as required.

The role requires a pro-active, diligent approach with excellent communication, report writing, presentation skills with the ability to summarize key parameters and drivers. Innovative and creative thinking is part of the culture in Xodus and all our engineers and consultants need both the ability and a proven track record in problem solving.

Requirements

  • Chartered Engineer, Member of IChemE or equivalent
  • Master’s degree in chemical/Process Engineering or equivalent
  • Minimum of 12 years relevant Chemical/Process engineering experience
  • Strong track record in front end and conceptual engineering studies
  • Strong track record in managing process studies and budgets
  • Experienced Study Lead Engineer and leading multi-discipline project teams
  • Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrable experience in process design, operations and process safety
  • Experienced in all project phases including FEED and detailed engineering design
  • Experience in client interfacing and to supporting business development requirements
  • Experience in the following is not essential but would be extremely beneficial:
  • Experience in plant operations support & optimisation
  • Onsite plant working experience
  • Experience in CCUS or Hydrogen process design
  • Experienced in proposal & CTR preparation
  • First class communication, report writing & presentation skills, demonstrating the ability to summarize key parameters and drivers succinctly
