Adept:us is recruiting for a Senior PLC Control Systems Engineer for a Hampshire based client who are at the forefront of engineering innovation within their field. We are seeking a highly skilled and driven PLC Control Systems Engineer to join our clients team and play a key role in delivering cutting-edge control solutions for their technology.\nExperience (essential):\n * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, or a related field.\n * Proven expertise in PLC programming, with experience in both Beckhoff (TwinCAT 3) and Siemens (TIA Portal) environments.\n * Strong proficiency in structured text and object-oriented programming.\n * Experience developing modular, maintainable code with a focus on long-term supportability.\n * Proficient with version control systems, especially Git with Git Flow practices.\n * Experience in code peer review processes, technical documentation, and system handover.\n * Knowledge of marine or offshore control systems, and an understanding of the challenges of supporting systems in remote or autonomous environments.\n * Familiarity with Jira or similar task-tracking and agile development tools.\n * Demonstrated experience commissioning systems in production settings with a strong appreciation of usability, reliability, and supportability for end users.\n * Strong understanding of electronic drive systems, sensors, and actuators.\n * Experience with Hydraulic or Pneumatic systems\n * Experience with programming safety PLCs and implementing safety-critical functions.\nExperience (desirable):\n * Background in the marine or offshore industry.\n * Practical understanding of supporting production partners and end users.\n * Willingness to travel occasionally for commissioning and code review.\n * A proactive, can-do attitude and a passion for innovation and sustainability.\n * Comfortable operating in a small, high-performance company environment with a shared commitment to success and impact.\nIf you are passionate about driving innovation and have the skills to thrive in a dynamic environment, please apply today
