As part of the team responsible for planning infrastructure for (liquefied) gases (hydrogen, natural gas, CO2, ammonia) in Gelsenkirchen, you will be the Senior Engineer in the field of pipelines and plant construction. Your responsibilities • Work in a team of engineers to achieve project goals and objectives • Develop and prepare technical documents like e.g. specifications, pipe class determination, plant- and system-layouts, 3D-modells, bill of materials, tender packages • Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they meet quality, budget, and timeline requirements • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and improve engineering processes • Act as the point of contact for authorities, clients, and other stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and relationship management • Travel frequently to meet with German authorities, clients, partners, and project teams across various locations • Monitor industry trends and advancements to keep the company at the forefront of engineering excellence Your profile • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering or a related field • 10 years’ work experience in engineering of piping systems, preferably in high-pressure applications for the energy- and power generation industry • Good knowledge of german- and international regulations on high pressure piping technology • Proven experience in engineering and engineering management, with a track record of successfully delivered projects • Very good proficiency in German and English, both written and spoken • Leadership abilities, communication, and interpersonal skills • Ability to abstract complex technical circumstances to present convincingly • Ability to work on multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment • Willingness and ability to travel frequently, both domestically and internationally Your benefits At Uniper, we not only reward our employees with attractive salaries, an excellent company pension and health related benefits for their hard work and dedication to shaping the future energy transition.
