Senior Maritime Structural Engineer

If so, we have an amazing opportunity for you in our Resilience & Maritime NL team!What you will do as a Senior Maritime Structural Engineer As a senior maritime structural engineer, you will undertake engineering projects related to the design, renovation, or replacement of hydraulic and maritime structures in ports and waterways. This includes port infrastructure such as quay walls, jetties, mooring facilities, and also weirs and locks in waterways. For these projects, you advise clients and colleagues on options and creative and innovative solutions for problems in order to contribute to the successful and profitable delivery and acquisition of projects. You will initiate, manage, and supervise engineering assignments on projects that meet project requirements on time and within budget. You will work in multidisciplinary teams alongside experts in hydraulic engineering, geotechnics, nautical engineering, and mechanical engineering. The team consists of 14 geotechnical specialists and 15 structural engineers. From the Netherlands, you will often collaborate with our international colleagues on significant maritime and water engineering projects, both locally and internationally.Our 240+ colleagues from the Resilience & Maritime NL advisory group are based in Rotterdam (moving to Delft from 2024), Amersfoort, and Nijmegen. The advisory group encompasses a wide range of specialties, including modelling, project management, geotechnics, port master planning, and contract management.What you bringAs a senior maritime structural Engineer, you possess high level knowledge and experience in designing and dimensioning hydraulic and maritime structures. You thrive in collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic work environment. Additionally, you are motivated to continuously grow in your field of expertise.
