Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and collaborative Senior Electrical Engineer who is a proactive self-starter and excels in a dynamic startup environment. In this role, you will be responsible for reporting to the Electrical Engineering Team Lead and leveraging your expertise to improve the Electrical Engineering operations of the company, while also having the chance to advance and develop your career within the organization.
A Day in the Life:
- Designing PCBs for battery management systems or embedded control modules in Altium Designer (schematic capture and PCB board layout)
- Start-to-finish ownership of PCB designs from schematic to layout
- Board-level bring-up and testing to identify critical characteristics and optimize performance
- Designing systems to specified product requirements
- Create technical documentation and product requirements
- Communicate technical progress to clients and internal team members
- Working autonomously and taking initiative to manage priorities
What You Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field
- 3-5 years of electrical engineering experience
- Experience designing PCBs (schematic capture and board layout), bring up and testing
- Experience designing low-power embedded systems
- Experience working with contractors, clients, vendors, and manufacturers
- Experience collaborating in a team environment across engineering disciplines
- Experience documenting engineering design work
What Makes You Stand Out:
- Experience with design prototypes and system integration
- Proficient in Altium Designer
- Experience with designing for testing and manufacturability
- Experience operating lab bench equipment (soldering, oscilloscopes, power supplies, electronic loads…etc.)
- Experience with ARM Cortex MCUs and FPGAs
- Experience designing power electronics
- Experience designing both digital and analog circuits
- Experience designing products through high volume production
- Experience working with systems containing lithium-ion batteries
- Experience designing electronics for harsh environments

The salary range represents the expected base salary for this role. The actual offer will be based on a variety of factors, including knowlegde, skills,abilities, and experience. In addition to base salary, full-time employees are eligible for equity/bonus programs and a comprehensive benefits package.
