As a Senior Maintenance Equipment Technician your primary responsibility will be ensuring that all facility preventive maintenance tasks are completed accurately and on schedule. This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, replacing, and upgrading equipment to support uninterrupted and efficient production operations. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with a forward-thinking approach, dedicated to enhancing the reliability and performance of both existing and future equipment and playing a key role in driving automation and mechanization initiatives.
Responsibilities:
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of metal fabrication equipment including CNC lasers (Amada, Mitsubishi), CNC plasma machines (Messer, AKS), waterjets (OMAX), press brakes (Amada, Dener), and robotic welding systems.
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical (up to 480V A/C), and mechanical systems in a production environment.
Lead and mentor junior technicians in proper equipment maintenance procedures and facility upkeep including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and aerial lift operations.
Perform maintenance on facility systems including HVAC units, Building Management Systems (BMS), fire alarms, and riser room equipment.
Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to manage work orders and document repairs.
Execute Lock out/Tag out procedures and ensure compliance with safety standards, including OSHA regulations.
Interpret and work from electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics for both equipment and infrastructure systems.
Participate in small welding repairs, moving utilities, and the addition of new production equipment including bridge crane systems (remote-controlled).
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree is .
- Proven experience with maintenance of manufacturing equipment such as CNC lasers, plasma/waterjet cutters, press brakes, robotic welders, and metal finishing systems.
- Ability to lead and mentor a team.
- Proficient with common hand and power tools, as well as electrical and precision measurement instruments.
- Trained in Lock out/Tag out procedures.
- Certified forklift operator () or ability to obtain certification.
- Capable of routine carpentry, basic plumbing, and electrical repair to maintain facility infrastructure.
- Familiarity with industrial equipment brands is highly ; otherwise, experience with similar types of machines is required.
