JOB DESCRIPTION Job Description SummaryThe Salzbergen RELC Wind Operations Manager will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives for Onshore for Salzbergen’s Learning Center. In this role you will innovate, integrate, and develop standard processes that meet business needs across the organization and work to share across global learning organization. The Salzbergen RELC Wind Operations Manager will conduct long-term planning, develop training strategy, and manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesOwn and manage overall training demand processBuild strong working relationships with regional Projects, Services & EHS Organizations to understand overall training demand, timing and develop acceptable strategy to deployClearly understand wind farm installations, timing and logistics to have training center ready to support field demand Create and deploy SC course offerings, WF registration and instructor schedulingWork closely with Global RELC Leaders to drive same standardized training across learning centersOwn deployment of technical training and best delivery methods. Dive VenU adoption as the training LMS and system of record to track technicians. Ensuring VenU standardization by the instructors. Encourage team to develop new delivery methodsWork closely with NPI Training Readiness Leader for successful NPI hand-offDevelop proposals, secure funding, and coordinate resources as required to execute training. This includes but not limited to facilities, instructors, and lab equipment needs. Oversee the financial training Op Plan and P&E budgets for the Salzbergen Learning Center. Work closely with finance coordinator for executionSupervise exempt-level training instructors and finance coordinatorOversee customer training revenue stream and balance course offerings when capacity allowsDrive strategic collaboration with independent training provider as new scope arisesDisplay flexibility and the willingness to pivot to support unexpected training requestsRequired QualificationsBS Degree in Education, Electrical, Mechanical, IT, Computer Science or any other technical program from an accredited college or university with significant years of experience in power generation operation, maintenance and troubleshooting or related program, AND/ORAdvanced educational background (Meister” or Techniker”) in Education, Electrical, Mechanical, IT, Computer Science or any other technical program with significant experience in power generation operation, maintenance and troubleshootingProven recent successful leadership experienceKnowledge of learning management systems: including expanding, editing and maintaining the toolAbility to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and appropriately assign work to the teamExperience with adult learners, including course development and delivery of technical instructionProven track record of motivating the team to drive organizational successWind Industry knowledge and/or experienceEnglish fluencyThorough Competency in Microsoft Office ToolsProven ability to drive projects and negotiations to completion within acceptable time frameBroad technical understanding of wind turbine technology and componentsAbility to lead and succeed in a matrix environmentAbility to communicate effectively across a diverse audienceDesired CharacteristicsFluent German and/or Spanish language skillsHighly driven, able to respond quickly to urgent situations and able to multi-taskStrong can-do” attitude and ability to think outside of the normal process to streamline activities and drive efficienciesDesire to continually enhance/upgrade the training curriculumExperience with digital mediaExperience with design softwareStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to maintain a high level of creativity and qualityExperience as a classroom instructor or demonstrated ability to coherently present information from detailed technical levelDynamic personality with the energy and passion for learningUnderstanding of the electric utility industryAdditional InformationRelocation Assistance Provided: Yes
