We are seeking a strong people leader and sales manager with a background in automated storage, intralogistics or warehouse handling equipment, to lead our New Business function.
This role will act as leader of the UK Sales Organization with responsibility for strategic direction, business development, and operational execution, and will both hire and lead a dedicated team.
As a member of the UK leadership team you will work cross-functionally with LCS (Service) and Finance to shape the future. This is hands-on role within a significant growth potential area.
You will lead a team of highly motivated and experienced professionals and have full ownership from lead generation to sales and realization. In the role you report to Regional Director New Business, North East Europe.
Your responsibilities:
- Lead, manage and develop our sales department in line with the Kardex Remstar strategy to ensure the achievement of revenue growth and business objectives.
- Own and deliver the UK New Business P&L in line with profitable growth strategy
- Develop with existing customers as they grow and invest in different levels of automation
- Define go-to market strategies to develop new customers in focused industry segments
- Ensure alignment of UK New Business organization to Kardex process and corporate governance requirements.
- Lead and develop the UK Sales organization to ensure high performance, team engagement and focus on delivering results.
- Provide ongoing coaching and development and ensure that business is consistently conducted with integrity and aligned to the values of Kardex.
- Exceed the 5-year business plan and yearly financial budget for bookings, with the corresponding gross profit margin and cost of sales.
- Lead business development in partnership with our Sales Teams in existing as well as new industry segments
- Own and manage sales pipeline and sales funnel
- Achieve excellent customer relations and reputation, drive customer satisfaction
Your profile:
- +5 years’ experience working as a senior sales leader for a similar organization in intralogistics is essential
- Extensive direct people management experience within sales; driving engagement and building high performing teams.
- You are proactive and embrace our core values of passion, respect, reliability and team spirit
- Extensive experience with leading sales of capital equipment / systems and complex solution sales processes including software
- Proven track record in delivering profitable growth, developing business and driving change
- Experience from and good network within the intralogistics and materials handling industry
- Strong commercial knowledge and market intelligence skills (CRM, sales methodologies, going to market strategy, segment specific marketing)
- Academic degree preferred (BSc or MSc)
The position is can be offered on a remote and/or hybrid basis with the expectation that the incumbent travels to our office in Hertford on a regular basis. The role requires extensive travel within UK and Ireland to meet with Customers and team members.
