Certified is looking to add experienced full-time Riggers to our Corpus Christi Branch. The following is a list of requirements; You must meet all the requirements below to be considered for this position.

Summary: Ensures safety first, proper calculating of size and material of rigging needed to perform lift safely, proper rigging techniques and hitches required, proper hand signals to flag equipment, ability to understand what each signal means, ability to control lift area in order to keep personnel out of swing path in a professional manner while maintaining Customer focus. Follows all State and Federal laws while operating motor vehicles. Follows all safety and environmental policies while performing the job task.
Responsibilities:
- At the end of the shift, review what the next day(s) job assignment is and have all necessary rigging and equipment ready before ending the shift.
- Completes Field Ticket and turns in to local branch office.
- Completes payroll daily with the hours worked. Hours must be reported to the local branch office.
- If not on a job assignment, informs the supervisor and is productive by inspecting, cleaning, and performing maintenance on the equipment.
- Carries and answers phone in a prompt manner.
- Cleans, inspects, and reorganizes equipment in shops and yard. Clean shop, wash rack and break room after each use.
- Be able to read, interpret, and calculate the load percentage by utilizing charts.
- Understands and can perform proper rigging techniques to ensure safe lifting of the load.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Preferred to have a current state issued Commercial Driver License (CDL) or at least the willingness to obtain one with the expectation of moving up to a operator position.
- Must have a current license (NCCCO or NCCER).
- 3 or more years of rigging experience required.
Skills Required:
- Good verbal and written communication skills to understand instructions, applicable safety regulations, and to maintain records.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
