We are offering a fantastic opportunity to join a growing Facilities team as the Maintenance Technician and contribute to the day-to-day operations of an expansive, newly built energy efficient waterfront estate and complementary portfolio of properties in Naples, Florida. These properties are maintained and operated in line with an exclusive five-star resort.

 

We are seeking a skilled, proactive, and reliable Maintenance Technician to support the ongoing maintenance, care, operations and repair of the private residences. Success in this role requires someone who thrives in a service-oriented, collaborative team environment, demonstrates a strong work ethic, and always operates with a high level of attention, care, and distinction. The ideal candidate is highly versatile and experienced across a broad range of trades, including carpentry, light plumbing and electrical, drywall, painting, and general repairs.

 

This is a hands-on, full-time role requiring a high level of discretion, integrity, and attention to detail to ensure the estate is maintained to and operates at the highest level. Working in close coordination with the Facilities Manager, Senior Estate Manager, and broader Estate team, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for the general maintenance and presentation of both interior and exterior areas of the property. This includes ensuring all fixtures, finishes, and essential systems remain in excellent working order and are kept to the highest standard.

 

This is a full-time position that requires flexibility for longer hours and weekends, as needed. This role will work across all properties in the portfolio and candidates must be comfortable travelling locally in the Naples area.

 

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

General Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding employers, family members, guests and assets

  • Be ready to dive into and take on whatever is needed as situations arise
  • Triage issues and service requests in real time

  • Be willing to take on additional tasks as requested

 

Property Responsibilities:

  • In conjunction with the Facilities Manager, draft, implement, and maintain weekly, monthly, seasonal, and annual inspection and maintenance checklists
  • Communicate openly with and provide support to Facilities Team and Housekeeping team on areas needing attention and assistance, identifying and resolving issues in a thoughtful and time-sensitive manner
  • Perform regular inspections, general repairs, and preventative maintenance across all properties, including tasks such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical repairs and general upkeep of the structures, fixtures and systems
  • Assist with the assembly, moving and installation of FFE, as requested
  • Support property-wide events and seasonal projects such as family gatherings, corporate functions, storm preparation and clean-up
  • Work collaboratively with the broader facilities team and be willing to assist with tasks or projects outside of primary responsibilities to support overall team success
  • Help with minor renovations or improvement projects
  • Collaborate with Facilities Manager to vet, hire, supervise and partner with vendors and contractors for routine and specialty services (e.g., elevator, generators, aquarium, spa, etc.)
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, supplies and equipment, coordinate procurement according to estate protocol

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience maintaining luxury private residences or high-end hospitality properties; experience with multi-property portfolios
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, in English required; basic Spanish skills a plus
  • Skilled and/or licensed in a range of construction trades including carpentry, painting, plumbing, electrical with a strong eye for quality
  • Experience working with fine materials, high-end fixtures, and custom finishes, and a strong understanding of how to care for them appropriately
  • Physically fit and able to lift 50+ lbs, bend, climb, stand and walk for extended periods, and work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Experience safely operating and maneuvering trailers, including transporting vehicles and boats
  • Demonstrate a proactive, forward-thinking approach by anticipating the family's needs and taking the initiative to address them
  • Anticipate and prepare for stays, events, guest arrivals, ensuring all arrangements and experiences are flawless
  • Possess a meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all tasks are completed to the highest standards of excellence
  • Ability to read and follow instructions for equipment and materials
  • Process-oriented; enjoy developing, documenting and implementing systems and processes
  • Ability to read and follow company policies, procedures and agreements
  • Self-motivated and highly dependable; able to work with minimal supervision
  • Team player, willing to assist with tasks outside of specific role
  • Maintain absolute confidentiality regarding the principals, their family, guests, and all household affairs
  • Exhibit adaptability and flexibility to accommodate last-minute changes in plans, schedules, and requests
  • Remain calm and resourceful under pressure, pivoting gracefully to meet the evolving needs of the household
  • Uphold the highest levels of professionalism at all times
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries with the family while fostering a trusting and positive working relationship
  • Flexibility to work outside of a normal business schedule, including evenings and weekends, as needed

· Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; able to travel between properties, as needed

  • Legal authorization to work in the US
  • Successfully complete an in-depth background investigation

 

$35+/hr DOE, eligible for OT
