Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPosition Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Laboratory Technician / Chemist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in developing and optimizing products that meet specific performance criteria. As a Lab Technician/Chemist at the Chemionics Division, you will be trained to perform quality control testing and assist in the development and formulation of new products. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about chemistry and eager to contribute to a dynamic and evolving R&D environment.  Additionally, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production and quality control, to ensure that the formulations can be scaled up effectively while maintaining quality standards.  This position will report directly to the Senior Chemist.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research and development projects to innovate and improve products.
  • Lead the implementation of good laboratory practices to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Analyze experimental results and propose actionable improvements.
  • Provide technical support to the R&D, Quality Control (QC), and Sales departments.
  • Conduct QC testing on raw materials and finished products.
  • Assist in the development and formulation of rubber and plastic compounds.
  • Collect, record, and analyze data to support product development and quality assurance.
  • Work closely with senior chemists and production teams.
  • Maintain a clean and safe lab environment.
  • Use mathematical skills to calculate formulations and adjustments.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer science or a related field (Master’s ).
  • Proven experience in a laboratory setting 3–5 years of laboratory experience is ideal, preferably in R&D and Quality Control. 
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Knowledge of rubber and vinyl chemistry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of latex and water-based adhesives is a plus.
