Job Description Job Description Job Title: Quality Inspector $25-35/hr Job Description We are seeking a dedicated 1st Shift Quality Inspector to join our team. The position requires working Monday through Thursday from 6 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional overtime on Fridays. The successful candidate will perform quality inspections on machined parts for the Aerospace and Defense industry in a separate quality department room. Responsibilities Perform first article, in-process, and final inspections using Micrometers, Calipers, Comparators, and potentially a CMM. Read and interpret defense blueprints, understanding GD&T symbols. Maintain tolerances down to /.0001 of an inch. Document inspections on paper, with the ability to use Excel as a plus. Essential Skills 2 years of Quality Inspection experience in a metal shop, preferably in Aerospace and Defense. Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding GD&T symbols. Experience with Micrometers, Calipers, and Comparators. ITAR compliance. Additional Skills & Qualifications CMM experience is . Experience in the Aerospace and Defense industry is beneficial. Work Environment The position is based in a small to medium-sized machine shop with about 20 employees. The shop is in an older building but is well lit, organized, and clean, with air conditioning. It is family-owned and operated for over 50 years, focusing on quality workmanship. The company is involved in exciting projects within the Aerospace industry, including parts used in the Mars Rover and satellites.
