Job DescriptionJob Description

Quality Inspection & Compliance

• Perform incoming, in-process, and final inspections on plastic, sheet metal, die cast, machined parts, and electronic assemblies.

• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) using technical drawings and spec reports.

• Verify product specifications against engineering documentation and SOPs.

• Identify and report defects, deviations, and inconsistencies.

• Support creation of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and root cause analysis.

• Quarantine and tag defective or suspect materials appropriately.

• Maintain inspection logs and ensure documentation aligns with ISO 9001 standards.

Inventory & Warehouse Coordination

• Coordinate inbound/outbound activities with warehouse teams.

• Perform daily inventory verification and maintain accurate records of quality holds, rework, and scrap.

• Process paperwork for received and shipped goods in inventory systems.

• Support Vendor RMA (VRMA) processes and supplier quality evaluations.

• Maintain equipment checklists and perform preventative maintenance.

Documentation & Collaboration

• Ensure inspection activities are properly documented and audit-ready.

• Communicate findings to production, engineering, and quality teams.

• Participate in CAPA (Corrective Action and Preventive Action) initiatives.

• Suggest improvements to enhance safety and workplace efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

Required

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 2+ years of experience in quality control or inspection in manufacturing/electronics.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures precisely

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access).

• Familiarity with inspection tools (calipers, micrometers, multimeters).

• Ability to read and interpret 2D technical drawings.

• Basic math aptitude and problem-solving skills.

• Technical certification or associate degree.

• Experience with NetSuite, SAP, WMS, Teams, or SharePoint.

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, Lean Manufacturing, and OSHA regulations.

• GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) experience.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, stooping, squatting, and bending.

• Occasional stair climbing and twisting.

• Repetitive use of hands, wrists, and fingers.

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and operate forklifts safely.
