Job DescriptionJob DescriptionQuality Control InspectorThis exciting role will be responsible for inspecting machine and metal components, raw materials, and assembled products to exceed the standards illustrated in the specifications and engineering drawings. A solid attention to detail and ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings, and measure part tolerances accordingly will be needed to be successful in this role. They are headquartered in the Montesano, WA area. The company is a leading designer and manufacturer of high-performance pumping and mixing equipment used for various municipal, industrial, and agricultural applications. If you are an individual who loves to work in quality control and inspect products/parts using manual inspection equipment and Faro Arms/CMM, this role could be for you!Responsibilities:
- Reads and interprets manufacturing drawings, including tolerances, customer specifications, and technical requirements.
- Recognizes and identifies deviations from requirements for machined parts.
- Accurately compares the product to engineering drawings/specifications, purchase orders, and manufacturing orders using common manual inspection equipment (PCMs, height gage, dial indicators, calipers, micrometers, protractors, profilometers, bore gauges, etc.) to accept or reject product to customer engineering requirements.
- Documents product acceptance/rejection on manufacturing orders, processes any necessary rejection documentation, and performs various MRP system functions.
- Understands and applies statistical sampling techniques.
- Audit procedures and processes of shop inspection.
- Review outside processing certifications of nondestructive testing, chemical processing, and finishing, and verify the physical appearance of the final product for conformance to engineering specifications.
- Exposure or knowledge with using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or Faro Arms is a plus.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of hands-on inspection experience in a regulated industry.
- Basic ability to use CAD systems (CATIA and AutoCAD).
- Basic ability to use Engineering Drawings.
- Basic Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- High school diploma or equivalent .
- Trade school or college courses in related fields (e.g., blueprint reading, GD&T)
- Previous exposure or knowledge of Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) or Faro Arms is .
Salary Range:
- $70,000-80,000+ depending on experience.
